MY FACE

About Marie Cantor

I am a Boston University graduate. I studied English Literature and Psychology. While I studied at BU, I focused my studies on classic literature, theatre, poetry, critical theory, film, and contemporary fiction. In addition to my academics, I have professional experience as an editor, writer, and tutor. I edited for the Hoochie's published novel and other BU student magazines. I also wrote for Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center website and The Northwest Company. In these roles, I learned I have a strong interest in research, which allows me to create more accurate end products. Moreover, I participated in numerous writing and playwriting workshops. My experience make me confident that I can help you with your novel.

In addition to my passion for literature, I love painting and photography. When I have free time, I enjoy taking long bike rides to find beautiful nature scenes. I love finding unique areas to draw in my sketchbook or take a photo with my GoPro. I find that capturing beautiful moments help me in my professional duties because of the inspiration and meditation these activities provide for me. Life brings many stresses, but I can always relay on my passion for nature to help me through any challenge!

When I'm not outside, I love to collect used books and write. When I travel, I go to local bookstores and libraries to pick from their used book section to find interesting books pre 1990 with written annotations or personal messages inside. I love to find remnants of a footprint from someone who loved the book as much as I will love the book in the future.

For a story to reach its fullest potential, an editing process is essential to produce a polished product. I love helping aspiring authors succeed, and am thrilled when my skill set and background can make the difference they need to achieve real results. Contact me today to learn more about how we can work together.
